Business Interests
If one or both of the parties operates a business, the business may be considered marital property to be equally or equitably divided between the parties. This raises questions such as: What is the value of the business? Will the business be sold? Will the parties co-own the business after the divorce? Will one party retain the business by buying out the other party? What are the options if funds are not available to buy out a party’s interest?
If there is a business involved in your divorce case, you will want an attorney with knowledge and experience in handling the disposition of business interests in divorce cases. Contact Linda at 614-556-4285.
